Over 40 years The Journal of Arts Management, Law and Society covered almost all aspects of arts and its relation to the world—politics, sociology, management and administration, society, institution and so on. This study aims to illustrate significant changes of the journal by chronological approach and categorized subject terms. Although it is difficult to place over 1,000 articles in a linear fashion, it is worth to review the whole journal just to have insights of arts and discover various related subjects.

The Journal of Arts Management, Law and Society는 40년 이상 예술과 관련된 거의 모든 분야와 관련하여 다양한 주제를 다루어 왔다. 이처럼 오랜 역사를 지닌 특정 저널의 아티클을 총체적으로 분석하는 것은 분명 한계가 있는 작업이지만 전체적인 흐름을 되짚어 봄으로써 시대별로 어떤 중요한 이슈가 있었고 어떤 주제어들이 연구 자들의 관심을 끌었는지 보는 것은 나름의 의미가 있다. 본 연구는 JAMLS의 전반적 흐름을 분석함으로써 다양한 주제에 대한 접근과 기존 연구에 대한 전반적 이해를 높이는 데 그 목적이 있다.
