Children's drawing not only reflects the world of child's own consciousness, but also includes his pure aesthetic value of a plastic. Schema, symbol and abstraction, which are naive and lively features of plastic, are the ones. For these reason, characteristic of plastic in children's drawing is generalized in the various area of plastic, revolving around the character design. This thesis regarded plastic similarity between children's drawing and character design in the aspect of line, shape and composition, and postulated those features as brevity, schema and unreality. Line is drawn in simple and concise way by proper combination and blending with related figure. Shape shows the feature which is modulating the object with circle and similar golden ratio that can be called schema. Composition is summarized as a factor that gives joy of relaxation being escaped from the reality by irrational relationship which is broken away from normal expression. The esthetic sense that these three factors produce is understood to be connected with a good feeling that satisfies universal visual perception and arouses visual familiarity and pleasure that satisfies the desire for regression to the observer's infancy.

아동화에는 아동 자신의 의식 세계가 반영되어 있 을 뿐만 아니라 아동의 순수한 조형미가 담겨져 있 다. 도식, 상징, 추상 등으로 표출되는 천진난만하며 생동감 넘치는 조형 특질들이 그것이다. 이런 이유로 아동화의 조형적 특성은 캐릭터 디자인을 중심으로 제 조형 분야에 일반화 되어 있다. 이에 본 연구에서 는 아동화와 캐릭터 양자 사이의 조형적 유사성을 선, 형, 구성의 3가지 관점에서 보고 그 특징을 간결 성, 도식성, 비현실성으로 상정하였다. 선은 관련 도 형의 적절한 결합과 융합을 통해 단순, 간결화로 진 행되며, 형은 사물을 원형과 근사황금율 이라는 도식 으로 조절되는 특징을 보이며, 구성은 정상적 표현에 서 이탈된 비합리적 관계 설정으로 현실에서 벗어난 이완의 즐거움을 주는 것으로 정리하였다. 그리고 이 들 3가지 요소가 산출하는 미감은, 인간 보편의 시지 각 메커니즘을 충족시키며 시각적 친근감이 유발하는 호감과, 관찰자의 유아기로의 퇴행 욕구를 충족시키 는 쾌감과 연결되어 있는 것으로 이해하였다.
