- The purpose of this study is to analyse factors influencing social exclusion perception with regard to layout of apartment housing. The multinominal response logit model is employed as the empirical analysis for this study. The results of this study are summarized as follows; First, most households prefer to live in segregated communities rather than in mixed communities. Second, the probability of household°Øs preference for the segregated communities will be higher as level of education becomes lower, housing size becomes bigger, and the intention of living in public rental housing in the future becomes less. Those who have children over 20 or no child prefer segregated communities to mixed communities other things being equal.
