- This study shows that the present dysfunctional situation of the comprehensive spatial planning to society has been caused by the outdated commanding planning style originated in the urbanization and industrialization period. With the recent advanced concept of planning for action in this post-modern industrial society, it is identified that the comprehensive planning should be resettled to have policies planning style, which allows knowledge share and cooperation within society in the planning process. It is indispensable for Korea to have more socially integrating and collaborative planning style to enter into advanced countries.
