The purpose of this paper is to investigate the trends of the night school movement, and it's texts in the enlightenment of modern recent times. The night school began at the late 1890's. Initially, times, the night school was established by the night-departments or night-schools as contrasted with day-schools. These schools taught Japanese, law, teacher training and other specialized knowledge. But the night school movement developed to enhance the national drive and establishing of a nation through education. Under these conditions, the Korean language night school spread across the nation. Many of the KUK-MUN(Korean Language) night schools and RODONG(Labour) night schools were established across the nation. The night schools teaching materials were not formed, maybe were used speciality publications in Japanese, law, teaching or other businesses were used. But most KUKMUK night school curriculums contained Korean Language. So these schools used textbooks for children or people not attending schools. In addition, a society for reading newspapers was organized. Specially, Yu Gil-Jun wrote the reading textbook for night school for workers. And Lee Won-gyu wrote a book for the lesson the elderly and adult man.
