This study aims to understand the process and patterns of teacher's development in the teaching profession life childhood through a study Life history on the learning of teachers that take in growth step. Researchers collected dates of life history-description and interviewer fare from career 6 years and 7 years teacher in the elementary school and analyzed for this. A lot of differences were seen in private experience and structural circumstance that two teacher affects in making and the process as teacher until present from teaching profession introduction, and there were contents and process from several ways to a lot of different points of knowledge learning. But, in spite of special quality of this knowledge learning that two teacher shows, there was some point of field that can be shared in two teacher's knowledge learning in growth step of similar career : ① Early knowledge learning is suffering big impact in 'Accidentalness' teaching profession life ② Tendency that whole process of knowledge learning is influenced in personal effort(private endeavor) of teacher individual is much ③ Taking a serious view class management and know-how about teaching ④ Taking a serious view to equip expert knowledge about teaching according as career rises ⑤ To know importance of conversation and discussion community between teachers and to participate willingly ⑥ Taking advantage of computer and Internet by main medium of knowledge learning.

본 연구는 생존단계를 거쳐 성장단계에 접어든 교사의 지식학습과정에 대한 생애사 연구를 통해 교직생애 초기단계의 교사발달 과정과 그 패턴을 이해하고자 한다. 이를 위해 연구자는 경력 6년, 7년의 두 초등학교 교사로부터 생애사 기술자료와 면접자료를 수집ㆍ 분석하였다. 비슷한 경력을 가진 두 교사는 지식학습 내용과 과정에 있어 독특한 차이를 보인 반면 몇 가지 공통된 특성을 보여주고 있는데, ① 교직생애 초기 지식학습이 ‘우연성’에 큰 영향을 받고 있다는 점, ② 지식학습의 전 과정이 교사 개인의 사적인 노력에 좌우되는 경향이 많다는 점, ③ 학급경영과 수업에 대한 지식을 중요시한다는 점, ④ 경력이 높아짐에 따라 수업에 대한 전문적 지식 갖추기를 중요시한다는 점, ⑤ 교사간의 대화와 논의 공동체의 중요성을 인식하고 기꺼이 참여하고자 한다는 점, ⑥ 컴퓨터와 인터넷을 지식학습의 주요 매체로 활용하고 있다는 점이다.
