The purpose of this research was to inquire the connecting system between pre-service teacher education program and in-service teacher education program for elementary school teachers. For that purpose, we 1) investigated the current connecting system between pre-service teacher education program and in-service teacher education program, 2) made the connecting system between pre-service teacher education program and in-service teacher education program, 3) proposed policies and institutions for connecting system between pre-service teacher education program and in-service teacher education program The results of this study are as follows : Firstly, we found that the degree of the connecting between pre-service teacher education program and in-service teacher education program was low. Secondly, we made the connecting system between pre-service teacher education program and in-service teacher education program, based on courses which professors and in-service teachers recommended. Thirdly, we suggested that we should make 'the committee for the development of training system for elementary school teachers', make the cooperation system between teachers college and training center for in-service teachers, and make the connecting system between pre-service teacher education program and in-service teacher education program, based on the level of the development of teachers.

본 연구는 초등교원 양성교육과 현직교육의 연계 방안을 탐색하는 연구이다. 이를 위해서 1) 현행 초등교원 양성교육과 현직교육의 연계 실태를 분석하고, 2) 초등교원 양성교육과 현직교육의 연계 방안을 구안하였으며, 3) 초등교원 양성교육과 현직교육의 연계 강화를 위한 정책 및 제도 정비 방안 마련 작업을 수행하였다. 본 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 현행 초등교원 양성교육과 현직교육의 연계 정도는 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 즉 현행 초등교원 양성교육과 현직교육은 상호 연계 없이 각각 개별적으로 운영되고 있음이 드러났다. 둘째, 본 연구에서는 기존의 초등 1급 정교사 자격 연수 프로그램 중, 1) 교육대학 교수들이 평가한 심화발전된 강좌, 2) 현직교사들이 평가한 심화발전되고 학교현장에서 도움이 되는 강좌, 3) 교육대학 교수들이 추천한 강좌, 4) 모범교사들의 추천 강좌 등을 종합하여 양성교육과 현직교육을 연계한 교원 연수 프로그램을 구안하였다. 셋째, 본 연구에서는 초등교원 양성교육과 현직교육 연계 강화를 위한 정책 및 제도 정비 방안으로, ‘초등교원 연수발전위윈회’(가칭)의 설치운영, 교육대학과 교육연수원 간의 인적교류를 통한 상호 협력체제 강화, 교사발달단계에 따른 연수과정의 등급화 및 양성과정과의 연계 등을 제안하였다.
