This study ; We aim to plan ahead to help reinforce the influential power and mutual cooperation within the South Korean car industry. We predict what is going to happen in the near future of the East Asian Export Trend for Car-industry, especially with regards to the market for Indian cars. Also, we believe that the global car-industry market will eventually change and develop into a huge single market (FTA Market) through Foreign Direct Investment. Due to this phenomenon, establishing a dominant position in world markets requires not only technical skills, but also market size. South Korea’s car-industry has to have a specific strategy to maintain a leading role in the East-Asian market. Recently, the car is considered a basic essential of life, resulting in a global car export trend, as buying a car is not only a symbol of wealth anymore. In the BRICs Market, India is an especially huge car-industry market because India has a large population as well as poor public transportation. Therefore, we predict that the car-purchasing demand of India will increase steadily, regardless of the world economic situation in 2012.

본 연구는 인도의 자동차산업을 통해 동아시아의 자동차산업에 나타나게 될 향후의 변화를 예측해 봄으로써 우리나라의 자동차산업이 신흥시장에 대한 영향력 강화와 협력을 도모하는데 있다. 또한 미래에 세계 자동차시장은 한 국가의 기술력이나 시장 규모로 우위를 유지해 나가기 어려운 거대 규모의 단일 시장으로 변화될 것으로 예측되기 때문이다. 이에 따라 인도 등 신흥 자동차산업 국가의 산업과 다양한 협력 체제를 통해 우리나라의 자동차산업이 동아시아에서 선도적 역할을 유지해 나가는 전략이 필요하기 때문이다. 최근 글로벌 트렌드를 보면 자동차 구매는 더 이상 값비싼 부의 상징이 아닌 생활필수품으로 자리 잡는 추세이다. BRICs시장에서 특히 인도가 최대의 자동차시장으로 꼽히는 이유는 인구가 많고 지리적인 특성상 대중교통 이용이 불편하기 때문이다. 따라서 인도 자동차산업 시장의 자동차 구매 수요는 2012년도 세계경제흐름과는 무관하게 꾸준한 증가세를 보일 것으로 사료된다.
