The Mimicry and Inmmigrants' Identity Expressed in Kim Jae-young's 「Ko-kki-ri」 Park, San-Hyang In this dissertation, the mimicry and the hybridity were applied to Kim Jae-young's 「Ko-kki-ri」 on the basis of Homi Bhabha's post-colonialism. 「 Ko-kki-ri」 is a multi-cultural novel that embody a pain of immigrant workers who came to Korea to achieve their dream through eyes of immigrant workers Ⅱ, Akas. This novel that includes troubles between Akas and his friends, immigrant workers and Koreans, and among immigrants has the ending of Indian ‘No-raeng-i’s death. People under colonization use mimicry and put the truth in disguise as obedience in order to survive. In this way, the mimicry has ambivalent features and they appear as resistance which produces confusion and untruth. Cultural hybridity means the mixture of cultures. As you see, in 「Ko-kki-ri」, immigrant workers fail to identify individuals as themselves in many cases by experiencing mimicry and hybridity. Since immigrant workers and married immigrants are also growing rapidly in Korea, public awareness has to be upgraded productively and openly to keep step with the trend.
