The objectives of this paper are to analyze the trend of tourism demand and to suggest the raising scheme for satisfaction degree of traveler in Gyeongnam Province. Included main analyzing contents are domestic tourism demand, Gyeongnam tourism demand, satisfaction degree of traveler, etc. Tourism industry is very important to national and regional economy, because the value-added rate and foreign-exchange earnings rate of tourism industry are higher than any other industry. Therefore, increasing tourism demand is the primary factor to contribute the Gyeongnam economy. The tourism demand quantity of Gyeongnam has been decreased rapidly. And the main restriction element of increasing tourism demand is low satisfaction degree of traveler. So, formulation of systematic plan for promoting satisfaction degree is important.

이 연구는 경남지역의 관광수요 변화 추세를 분석하고, 관광수요 증대의 제약 요인을 중심으로 문제점 개선에 관한 시사점을 제시하려는 데 그 목적을 두고 수행하였다. 연구 내용에는 국내의 관광수요 변화 추세 분석, 경남지역의 관광수요 변화 추세 분석, 경남지역에 대한 관광 수요자의 만족도 분석 및 만족도 제고를 위한 시사점 등을 포함하였다. 관광산업은 부가가치와 외화가득률이 높은 산업이므로 지역경제 활성화에 기여하려면 경남지역의 관광수요를 증대시키는 것이 선결 조건이다. 이것은 내국인의 관광수요 증대와 동시에 외래 관광객의 유치 비율 증대를 통하여 달성할 수 있다. 경남지역의 관광수요 증대를 제약하는 요인은 수요자의 만족도가 낮은데 기인하므로 만족도 제고를 위한 대책을 체계적으로 수립하여 여행자의 불만사항을 개선하는 것이 중요하다.
