This study aimed to see the effects of therapeutic singing activities on the improvement in receptive vocabulary of young children. Seven non-disabled two-year-olds at ◯◯Nursery in Daejeon participated in this study. Any child in the experimental group had no experience of getting music therapy, with no systematic music class provided in the nursery. This study implemented a group program in a total of 16 session per week, 30 minutes per session, from SEp. to Dec. 2011. The post-test was performed under the same conditions as the pretest, using the same tools and in the same place, on Dec. when the entire program was finished. The results showed that the population composed of seven two-year-olds made a great improvement of raw scores after therapeutic singing activities. Along with the improved raw scores, the age equivalent and the percentile rank were also improved. Therefore, educational activities with music therapy can be used as activities for facilitating language development to meet the developmental level of young children in the practice of early childhood education for the purpose of this study, and are expected to present data for planning activities suitable for the current capability level of young children on a stepwise basis and be used efficiently in the field of music therapy for young children.

본 연구는 어머니의 언어 능력 부재나 정서적 적응 능력 저하 등 여러 가지 문제를 가지고 있는 다문화 가정의 아동 7명을 대상으로 노래 중심 음악 치료가 언어 발달에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 이와 같은 목적을 위해 다음과 같은 연구 문제를 설정하였다. 연구문제 1. 노래 중심 음악 치료 프로그램이 다문화 아동의 수용어휘력 향상에 효과적인가? 연구문제 2. 노래 중심 음악 치료 프로그램의 하위요인별 효과는 어떠한가? 연구문제 3. 노래 중심 음악 치료 프로그램의 개인별 변화는 어떠한가? 본 연구의 대상은 다문화 가정 아동 7명으로 2011년 9월부터 2011년 12월까지 16주에 걸쳐 주 1회씩 16회기를 실시하였다. 검사 도구는 아동의 연령을 고려하여 그림 어휘력 검사를 사전과 사후에 실시하였다. 결론적으로 노래중심 음악치료가 다문화가정 아동의 언어 발달향상에 효과가 있음을 보여 주었다.
