The brain regulates virtually all human activity as its role is important. with the rapid development of neuroscience in the 21C, the era of "brain", there has been an equally burgeoning field of neuroaesthetics fused with traditional art aesthetics. Ranging from brain research on the art of artists to brain structure of people appreciating art, neuroaesthetics is the study of the human brain which respond to art and beauty. In recent years, thanks to the research achievement of neuroaesthetics on art and music, the scope of neuroaesthes has been expand to the field of dance. I think that dance - related studies only describable using the metaphysical language, such as dance philosophy and dance aesthetics can be explained at the natural scientific level and neurological research methods can also be found in the study of audience reactions to dance through the research on the convergence of neurology and dance. as a result of the academic achievement of this research, I expect that Neurodance, the fusion between neuology and dance, will be able to become a new research field

모든 인간의 활동은 뇌에 의해 조절되는 만큼 그 역할은 중요하다. 뇌의 시대라 불리는 21세기에 들어서면서부터 뇌 를 연구하는 학문인 신경과학이 급격하게 발달하였고 더불어 전통적인 예술 미학이 융합된 신경미학(Neuroaesthetics)이라는 학 문이 대두되었 다. 예술 작품을 만들어 내는 예술가들의 뇌 연구에서부터 예술을 감상하는 사람들의 뇌 구조에 이르기까지 신경미 학은 예술과 아름다움에 반응하는 인간의 뇌를 연구하는 학문이다. 최근에는 신경미학이 미술, 음악의 연구 성과에 힘입어 춤 분 야에까지 확대 되고 있다. 이 논문에서는 현재 진행되고 있는 신경학과 춤의 융합 연구의 학문적 성과를 살펴보고 그 학문적 성과가 무용 철학과 무용미학 등과 같이 형이상학적 언어로 설명할 수밖에 없는 춤 관련 연구들을 어떻게 자연과학적으로 설명할 수 있 는지를 밝혀낸 다. 또한 앞으로 춤과 신경학의 융합 연구가 뉴로 댄스라는 새로운 무용학의 한 분야로 발전될 가능성을 조심스럽게 제시한다.
