This paper examined the determinants of export insurance utilization in Korean exporting companies. The exporting commitment, the level of technology, and organizational capability were as proxy for the characteristics of companies. The cultural distance and multiculturalism were as proxy for the characteristics of trade environments. The short-term export insurance and export credit guarantee were as proxy for the export credit utilization. Based on the analysis of two hundred cases, the following results were found. First, the characteristics of companies have a positively significant influence on the characteristics of trade environment. Second, the characteristics of trade environment have a positively significant influence on the export credit utilization. Third, the characteristics of companies have not a positively significant influence on the export credit utilization.

본 연구는 한국수출기업의 무역보험활용 결정요인에 대해 분석하였다. 기업특성에는 수출몰입도, 조직역량, 기술수준 변수들이 포함되었고, 무역환경특성에는 문화적차이, 다문화주의 변수들이 포함되었으며, 무역보험활용에는 단기수출보험, 수출신용보증 변수들이 연구모형에 포함되었다. 본 연구는 한국수출기업을 대상으로 전체 200개 업체를 대상으로 실증분석을 수행한 결과 다음과 같은 연구결과를 얻었다. 첫째, 한국수출기업의 기업특성은 무역환경특성에 유의한 정의 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 한국수출기업의 무역환경특성은 무역보험활용에 유의한 정의 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 한국수출기업의 기업특성은 무역보험활용에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았다.
