Practical theology is for bridging gaps between church and seminary, pastor and scholar. To bridge these gaps, practical theologian has four tasks, that is, describing present situation in church and society, interpreting what is happening in present situation, revealing what ought to happen here and now, and presenting pragmatic direction or solution to accomplish God􀁳s will. According to analyze articles in the Gospel and Praxis, from no. 1 to no. 24, 260 articles in total, the researcher found and suggests some solutions as following: 1) The Gospel and Praxis (G&P) needs to concentrate its interest of contribution limited to only four fields of study: poimenics, homiletics, christian liturgy, and evangelism. 2) G&P needs to open its door more widely to pastors and researchers besides theology professors to bridge the gap between church and seminary. 3) G&P needs to promote members to contribution of articles related to current topic of each issue. In addition to them, the researcher suggests some works to people interested in practical theology: (1) Utilizing case study method to research the issues in practical theology. Practical theology researchers may use inductive method as well as deductive one like physician uses both methods to diagnose and prescribe for patient. (2) Seminary education should be reviewed to prepare seminarians more realistically and also future-oriented. (3) More specific suggestions are followed for practical theology fields.

실천신학은 교회와 신학교, 목사와 신학자를 연결하는 다리 역할을 위한 것이다. 양자 사이의 간격을 잇기 위해 실천신학자는 네 가지 임무가 있다. 즉 교회와 사회의 현재 상황을 서술함, 현 상황에서 일어나고 있는 일들을 해석함, 지금 여기서 반드시 있어야 할 일을 드러냄, 그리고 하나님의 뜻을 이루기 위한 실용적인 방향이나 해결책을 제시함. 「복음과 실천신학」은 한국복음주의 일천신학회(이하 한복실)의학회지로써 한국교회에 대한 기여를 어느 정도 파악할 수 있다. 「복음과 실천신학」 제1-24권에 수록된 총 260편의 논문을 분석한 후 연구자는 다음과 같은 사실을 발견하고 몇 가지를 아래와 같이 제안한다. 1) 한국복음주의 실천신학회의 학회지인 『복음과 실천신학』은 목회학, 설교학, 예배학, 그리고 전도학의 네 분야에 관심을 집중시키는 것이 필요하다. 2) 『복음과 실천신학』은 교회와 신학교의 간격을 좁히기 위해 신학교수 외에 목회자와 연구자에게 그 문호를 보다 넓게 개방하는 것이 요청된다. 3) 『복음과 실천신학』은 특별히 매호(每號)의 주제관련 기고(寄稿)하도록 적극적으로 회원을 독려하는 것이 필요하다. 위의 제안과 더불어 연구자는 실천신학에 관심을 갖는 분들에게 아래의 몇 가지를 제안한다. 1) 실천신학의 이슈들을 연구할 때에 사례연구 방법을 보다 적극적으로 활용하자. 2) 보다 현실적이면서도 미래지향적인 목사후보생들을 양성하기 위해 신학교육에 대한 관심과 연구가 있어야 한다. 3) 실천신학 분야를 위한 보다 구체적인 제안들이 따라와야 한다.
