This research is an argument on how to help marriage migrant women to improve information literacy. The adoption of optimized information is very important in knowledge-information-based society in order to improve the quality of life and to have better opportunities. This study suggests the way how marriage migrant women catch up the gap of information literacy. This paper proposes an information literacy model and defines its constituent elements for marriage migrant women in the light of the seventh computer education course among various criteria and models. Firstly, marriage migrant women have to receive universal education of information literacy and to have the same opportunities as common citizens in information aspect. Secondly, Korean government has to make and share the indicators of educational experiences which marriage migrant women have got in their home country. Finally, in order to activating the above-mentioned proposals, Korean government should give an administrative and financial support through an unified and effective method in order to relate to their social integration. These information literacy model and improvement scheme will give very positive effects to marriage migrant women who are comparatively in unequal and disadvantaged position in Korean society.

이 연구는 결혼이주여성들이 사회통합을 위한 정보리터러시 향상방안에 관한 논의이다. 정보지식 기반의 사회에서 최적화된 정보의 습득은 삶의 질이나 다양한 기회의 선점에 있어서 매우 중요하다. 이 연구는 결혼이주여성들이 기존구성원과의 정보리터러시 격차를 해소하기 위한 정보리터러시 향상방안에 대하여 제안한다. 이 논문에서는 다양한 정보리터러시 기준과 모델, 한국의 제 7차 컴퓨터 교육과정을 고려하여 결혼이주여성을 위한 정보리터러시 모델을 제안하고 구성요소들을 정의한다. 첫째, 결혼이주여성은 기존 구성원들의 보편적인 정보리터러시와 정보화 교육 수준에 상응하는 교육을 받고 동등한 기회를 사용할 수 있어야 한다. 둘째, 한국정부는 결혼이주여성들이 합리적인 정보리터러시 교육을 받기 위하여 본국에서 이수한 교육과정에 대한 일관된 지표를 만들어 공유하고 지속적으로 관리해야 한다. 마지막으로 한국정부는 앞에서 언급했던 제안의 활성화를 위하여 일원화된 창구를 통해 사회통합과 연계될 수 있도록 행정적, 재정적인 지원을 해주어야 한다. 위에서 제안한 정보리터러시 모델과 향상방안은 상대적으로 불평등한 입장의 결혼이주여성들에게 매우 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것으로 보인다.
