This paper deals with the ways in which the performance of social enterprise in Korea can be evaluated and puts forward some policy suggestions for government to be able to drive the existing social enterprise policy. For this, this study focuses on constructing indicators to evaluate the activities and performance of social enterprises in Korea. Regarding the methodology, it employs the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method of analysis to prioritize the indicators of social enterprise performance in terms of weight. The analysis shows that the indicator social employment has the highest weight score, followed by employment rate of disadvantaged people and social service provision by the social enterprise, implying that the ‘social orientation’ involved in the activities of social enterprises is regarded as more important than the ‘profit orientation’.

이 연구는 한국에서 사회적 기업의 성과와 활동을 평가하기 위한 지표를 구축하는데 연구 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위해 이 연구는 가중치 관점에서 사회적 기업 성과 지표의 우선순위를 분석하기 위해 APH(계층적 분석절차) 분석방법을 도입하였다. 이 연구는 사회적 기업의 활동들에 포함된 사회적 정향이 이익 정향보다 중요하다는 것을 함축함으로써 사회적 약자의 고용율과 사회적 기업에 의한 사회서비스 공급에 따라 사회적 고용 지표가 가장 높은 가중점수를 가진다는 것을 보여주고 있다.
