A Study on the Elementary School Age Population by Regional Characteristics - Focusing on Daegu Metropolitan Area -
Students and the population does not change the same. Students forecast methodology depending on the local & social environment are difficult. Therefore, this study calculated the number of students thought to have the most impact on the local environment by the ratio of apartments and homes into five regional types in Daegu Metropolitan Area. The following conclusions were drawn. First, the percentage of population by age are dominated by the proportion of the apartments and homes. 7-12 age population should be calculated according to the proportion of the apartments and homes. Second, regional population & 7-12 age population estimate by the composition ratio & number of apartments and homes on the regional types. Third, percentage of 7-12 age population in the the same regional types can be a very big difference by other environmental factors-scale apartment complexes, residential unit size, etc.-.Fourth, the student capacity in the existing school facilities and 7-12 age population does not match. Therdfore relocation of school facilities can be seen that very need.
