Economists, to say nothing of common people, often confuse the term economic order with economic system, economic institution, and economic constitution. This paper tries to compare these terms conceptually. Economic system is used with a meaning that comprises economic process and economic order. Economic order is formed from the rules to allocate scarce resources and in relation to the economy of specialization such as them for the role-assigning, motivating, and coordinating. If we designate economic order in this way, it has no clear differences from economic institution. Economic order, however, gives us a nuance to mean that it is the set of rules to function in a specific way in order to realize an ideology of a society. If so, economic order should be understood as a subordinate concept of economic institution. Economic constitution is, in the juristic terms, a part of economic order. But if it includes morals, tradition, custom and economic ethics, then it is almost the same concept as economic order.

본 논문의 목적은 혼동되어 사용되고 있는 경제질서, 경제체제, 경제헌법, 그리 고 경제제 도를 개념적으로 구분 정의해보자 하는 데 있다. 경제체제는 경제질서와 경제과 정을 포괄하 는 개념이다. 경제질서란 부족한 자원을 나누어 가지고 분업을 위한 역할 배분 과 동기부여 그리고 그 결과로 발생하는 개별 경제주체들의 경제행위를 조율하기 위한 제반 규칙들의 총 체를 말한다. 경제헌법은 법적 의미로만 한정할 때 경제질서의 일부이나, 그것 을 도덕, 전 통, 문화, 윤리까지 포함할 때 그것은 경제질서와 비슷한 개념이다. 경제제도는 각종 형태의 규칙과 규범이 낱개로 흩어져 있는 상태의 전체인 반면, 특정 형태의 경제질서 는 특정 방향 으로 상호 기능을 발휘하도록 서로 얽혀져 있는 일단의 제도들의 집합이다.
