The developing creativity is one of objectives of education emphasized in modern education. This paper suggests imagination education to develop creativity in korean education.
It is the point of imagination to concrete abstraction. The activity to concrete abstraction is possible in the field of literature and grammar.
In the field of literature, especially in the field of poem this paper suggested to imagine the shape of moon, as part of activity to develop imagination, based on description in poetry in Yi Dynasty and poem of Park Mok Wal, To imagine the shape of moon, we should know time and direction that moon rise, that moon set. Also students could find the proof of the imagined activity in the content of the poem. This is the activity ‘to concrete abstraction’, this helps the develop of the imagination.
This paper suggested the activity to increase the imagination in the field of literature by figuring out the hierarchical structure of the language.
By changing the ancestral sentence to the hierarchical structure, it can be the developed-imagination as well as the understanding grammar. For example concept of an antecedent in a reflexive pronoun, this paper proved that we have to realize not the order of the ancestral word order but the problem of the high and low layer on the hierarchical structure.
The imagination is not to make something out of nothing. also the imagination develop well with the intentional guide. this paper showed possibility of ‘the intentional guide’ to increase the imagination in Korean Language Education and suggested case of activity ‘to concrete abstraction’ with being based on existence.
Thus the developed imagination will be based on achieving of the students’ increasing creativity.

창의력 신장은 현대 교육에서 강조되는 교육 목표 가운데 하나이다. 본고에서는 국어 교육에서 창의력을 신장하는 방안으로 상상력 교육을 제안하려 한다.
상상력의 핵심은 추상적인 것을 구체화하는 것이다. 국어 교육에서 추상적인 것을 구체화하는 활동은 ‘문학’의 영역과 ‘문법’의 영역에서 모두 가능하다.
문학 영역 중 특히 ‘시 분야’에서 상상력을 기르기 위한 활동으로 이조년의 시조와 박목월의 시에서 묘사된 내용을 바탕으로 달의 모양을 상상해보기를 제안하였다. 달의 모양을 상상하기 위해서는 달의 모양 변화에 따른 뜨고 지는 시각과 뜨고 지는 방향을 알아야 한다. 또한 그렇게 상상한 증거들을 시의 내용에서 찾을 수 있어야 한다. 이것이 ‘추상적인 것을 구체화’하는 활동이며, 이를 통해 상상력이 길러질 수 있다.
문법 영역에서는 언어의 계층적 구조를 파악함으로써 상상력을 기르는 활동을 제안하였다. 선조적인 문장을 계층적인 구조로 바꾸어 봄으로써 문법 현상을 잘 이해할 뿐만 아니라 상상력을 기를 수 있다. 그 예로 재귀대명사의 ‘선행사’라는 개념을, 선조적인 어순에서의 선후 문제가 아니라 계층적인 구조 상에서의 상하위 계층의 문제로 인식해야 함을 보였다.
상상력은 무에서 유를 창조하는 것이 아니다. 또 상상력은 의도적인 지도가 있을 때 더욱 잘 발달한다. 본고에서는 상상력을 기르기 위한 ‘의도적인 지도’가 국어 교육에서 가능함을 보였고, 실재에 바탕을 둔 채 ‘추상적인 것을 구체화’하는 활동의 예를 제안하였다.
이렇게 해서 길러진 상상력은 학생들의 창의력 신장이라는 목표를 달성하는 바탕이 될 것이다.
