The folklore of godly war, which was born in south China and Indonesia, is distributed all around South-East Asia. In Japan, we can see it at Nikkou area. It is a story about a man who is a good arrow shot. He shot a arrow against a centipede to sport a serpent, they are gods. This story is famous by classic literature, "Konjaku- nogatarishu", "Taiheiki", "Story of Tawarano- tota". And we can see some similar stories in Korea. In this paper I tried to consider "Samkuk-yusa" Vol.2 'Kodachi', "Koryo-sa" Vol.1 'Jakjeikun', and some folklores of "The Collection of Korean Folklore" from a point of view to compare with Japanese folklore. In Japan, a man is a good arrow shot and a hero. He kill a centipede to help a serpent. In case of Korean, we can divide into 3 types. Type 1 is a folklore which a man is a good arrow shot. Type 2 is a folklore which describe a struggle of centipede and serpent. And type 3 is a folklore which a man is very poor and worthless. He helps a serpent, and a centipede dies. A man did not kill a centipede. He just did his duty to a woman whom a centipede turned itself into, and helped her to go to heaven. As a result of it, a serpent dies. Type 1 is the most similar to Japanese folklore, and seem to be the oldest folklore. As time goes by, type 1 changed to type 2 and 3, and a matter of concern turned to value-view of literary arts from value-view of military one.
