- The aim of this study is to examine the theories of language acquisition and the impact of interaction on children's language acquisition. It is well known that the three leading theories of language acquisition have thus far been discussed: behaviorism, rationalism and empiricism. For each of these theories, in this paper both syntactic and phonological points of view are examined with regard to children's development of language. It is also examined that interaction has a significant impact on children's acquisition of language. Additionally, it will be shown that there exists a natural order in children's language acquisition in accordance with their more and more experience as they grow up.
