- The Effect of Social Environment Factors on the Perceived Crowding Kim, Gha-Ryong․Yhang, Wii-Joo The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the social environment factors on the perceived crowding. The port terminal was selected as a study area. The questionnaire survey was conducted from January 1 to February 20 in 2012. Data analysis was done by the SPSS Win 18.0. The results found social environmental factors were composed of the two characteristics of the terminal staff and the users. The hypothesis was tested that the staff-related characteristic was rejected and the user-related accepted.
