Nowadays marked movement of population is taking place globally for the purpose of economic activities or education. Such population movement has been occurring to a great extent in Korea as well in the process of modernization, industrialization, and globalization due to an increase in immigrant workers and married immigrant women since the late 1980's. Because of this, our society is undergoing rapid changes toward a multicultural society, which causes much difficulty in communication and harmonization of the society along with social problems. Amidst these changes, therefore, we as well as those who form multiculture families should be adapted to the society and move to the stages of harmonization. Objective of the present study is to search fo mutually common cultures and establish the social spirit of communication through formation of a mutual bond of sympathy for the greater harmonization of our society. The core of such spirit has been considered as the culture of filial duty, which constitutes a spiritual and practicing culture of not only our country but also East Asia. Thus it is aimed at finding from the country's songs how the filial duty is revealed in the songs of 'mother's day' or 'remembrance of parents' in the countries of married immigrant women forming the multiculture families, and establishing a constructive multicultural society as cultural people with the same culture of filial duty through better understanding of the spirit and the culture of their societies.

요즘 전 세계적으로 경제활동을 목적으로 하거나 교육을 위해 인구이동이 현저히 일어나고 있다. 한국에서도 근대화·산업화·세계화과정에서 1980년 후반 이후 이주 노동자와 결혼 이주여성의 증가로 인구이동이 크게 나타나게 되었다. 이로 인하여 한국 사회는 다문화 사회로 급속히 변해가면서 사회의 소통과 융화에 많은 어려움을 느끼고 여러 문제들이 야기되고 있다. 이러한 변화 속에서 다문화 가족을 이루는 사람들과의 다문화이해를 통한 서로의 소통의 사회로 가야하는 것이다. 본 연구는 한국 사회가 좀 더 융화하기 위해 서로의 공통된 문화를 찾아보아 서로의 공감대를 형성하여 소통하는 사회의 정신을 세우고자한다. 그 정신의 핵심은 우리나라 뿐 만 아니라 동아시아의 정신문화이며 실천 문화인 효(孝)문화로 보았다. 현재 다문화가정을 이루는 결혼이주 여성의 여러 나라의 ‘어머니날’ 노래나 ‘부모를 기리는 노래’에서 효가 어떻게 나타나는지 그 나라의 노래에서 찾아보고 그 사회의 정신과 문화를 좀 더 이해하여 같은 효문화를 갖고 있는 문화인들로서 건설적인 다문화사회를 이룩하고자 하는 것이다.
