The purpose of this study was to identify how concerned kindergarten teachers are with creativity and personality education, and how much they incorporate these concepts into their teaching. The subjects of this study were 94 kindergarten teachers. A T-test was used to analyze the subsequent data. The results were as follows. First, regarding the teachers level of concern for creativity and personality education, the perceptual stage of concern (97.8) represented the highest response rate, followed by the personal stage of concern (84.0), and the informational stage of concern (83.9). Secondly, the majority of kindergarten teachers placed emphasis on creativity and character education, but they felt they lacked the knowledge to implement creativity and character education successfully, and to challenge the existing educational methods. Finally, from the perspective of educational support, the kindergarten teachers in the study recognized that activity guidelines and educational content based on developmentally appropriate education are necessary in order to implement creativity and character education in Early Education settings.

본 연구의 목적은 유치원 교사의 창의인성교육에 대한 관심과 실행정도를 파악하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 유치원 교사 94명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 회수된 설문지는 SPSS프로그램의 기술통계를 이용하여 통계처리하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유치원교사의 창의인성교육에 대한 관심은 대부분이 지각적 관심, 개인적 관심 수준이었으며, 정보를 얻는 수준이었다. 둘째, 유치원 교사들의 대다수가 창의인성교육에 중점을 두고 있다고 하였으나, 현장에서 창의인성교육을 어떻게 실행해야할 지 엄두를 내지 못하거나 실행을 위해 기존의 교육내용 및 방법을 변형시키는 방법을 활용하고 있었다. 셋째, 창의인성교육실행을 위해서는 창의인성교육과 관련된 영유아 놀이 활동 확대와 유아발달에 적합한 교육내용에 대한 지원이 가장 필요하다고 인식하는 것으로 나타났다.
