The purpose of this study was to examine the perception of teachers on the posting and utilization of teachers of superior ability in an effort to provide some information on the enhancement of the professionalism of kindergarten teachers and the right directions of the early childhood education advancement plan. The results of this study were as follows. First, concerning their outlook on the posting and utilization of teachers of superior ability, the teachers gave more negative opinions on the improvement of the excellent kindergarten teacher training system, the improvement of the teacher appointment system, the phase-in introduction of the evaluation of teacher ability development, the selection of excellent teachers, a supply of support for excellent teachers, the improvement of treatment for private kindergarten teachers, the introduction of the public kindergarten principal evaluation system, the introduction of the public kindergarten principal invitation system and the improvement of the posting of public kindergarten teachers. Second, as for the impact of the variables of the teachers on their perception of the posting and utilization of excellent teachers, type of alma mater and type of workplace exerted a significant influence on their perception on the improvement of the excellent kindergarten teacher training system, the improvement of the kindergarten teacher appointment system and a supply of customized training and supervision services geared toward boosting professionalism. In contrast, type of alma mater and type of workplace had no significant impact on their view of the phase-in introduction of the evaluation of teacher ability development, the introduction of the public kindergarten principal evaluation system and the introduction of the public kindergarten principal invitation system. The type of alma mater exercised no significant influence on their perception on the selection of excellent teachers, a supply of support for excellent teachers and the improvement of treatment for private kindergarten teachers, but the type of workplace affected it in a significant manner.

본 연구는 교육과학기술부에서 발표한 유아교육 선진화 추진 계획 중 「우수교원 배치 및 활용」에 대한 교사의 인식 및 교사의 변인이 미치는 영향은 어떠한지 알아보아 교사의 변인에 따른 우수교원 배치 및 활용에 대한 교사의 인식 차이를 알아보아 그 결과를 유치원교사의 전문성 제고를 위한 기초자료를 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 연구 결과, 유치원 우수교원 양성과 임용제도 개선, 전문성 제고를 위한 맞춤형 연수·장학 지원, 교원능력개발평가의 단계적 도입, 우수교사 발굴·지원 및 사립 유치원 교원 처우 개선, 공립 유치원장 평가 및 공모제 도입, 공립 유치원 교사 배치 방식을 개선하는 것에 대한 교사의 인식에서 모두 긍정적 응답이 부정적 응답보다 높게 나타났다. 또한 교사 양성기관 유형에 따른 유치원 교원 양성과 임용제도 개선, 맞춤형 연수·장학 지원에 대한 교사의 인식에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났고, 교사 재직기관 유형에 따른 유치원 교원 양성과 임용제도 개선, 맞춤형 연수·장학 지원, 우수교사 발굴·지원 및 사립 유치원 교원 처우 개선, 공립유치원 교사 배치방식 개선에 대한 교사의 인식에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다.
