The purpose of this research is to explain the significance of information sharing in supply chain management(SCM) and to suggest the information sharing performance model(ISPM). The ISPM is a structural model specifying what factors affect information sharing and if it continuously has a positive influence on SCM performance. Firstly, antecedents of information sharing which were potentially selected by analyzing previous studies were statistically tested in STUDY1. In STUDY2, a model investigating the structural causal relationships among the antecedents, information sharing and SCM performance was proposed. The data collected from 74 parts suppliers which have supply-chain relationships with Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. were used in STUDY1. In the stage of STUDY2, survey data were collected from parts suppliers of Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. and Sinopec Co., Ltd.(China). The sample size is 142 and 123, respectively. As a result of hypothesis tests, it is verified that SCM performance can be made more positively through information sharing largely in two ways. At first, the suppliers can have more trust and dependence from buyers by increasing asset specificity, and accordingly they can enhance the level of information sharing. Secondly, the more positive and proactive is managerial group attitude towards information sharing, the higher are the level of cooperation with buyers and importance of information sharing. The increased cooperation and importance of information sharing have positive effects on the level of information sharing. The information sharing between suppliers and buyers enhanced by the aforementioned paths serves a contribution to the SCM performance.

본 연구는 공급사슬관리에 있어서 정보공유의 중요성을 설명하고, 정보공유성과모델을 제안하고자 하는 목적을 갖고 있다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 정보공유성과모델은 어떠한 요인들이 정보공유에 영향을 미치는지 설명해 주고, 나아가 공급사슬관리의 성과에도 긍정적인 영향을 미치는지를 설명해 주는 구조적 모형이다. 이를 위해 우선, 기존연구들을 통해 잠정적으로 선정한 정보공유의 선행요인들을 STUDY1을 통해 통계적으로 검정하였다. 다음으로, STUDY2를 통해 선행요인들과 정보공유 및 공급사슬관리 성과와의 구조적인 인과관계를 규명하는 모형을 제안하였다. STUDY1에서는 ㈜현대건설과 공급사슬관계에 있는 74개의 부품공급기업들로부터 수집된 데이터를 활용하였고, STUDY2에서는 ㈜현대건설과 중국의 대표적인 석유화공그룹인 Sinopec Corp으로 부터 각각 142개, 123개의 부품공급기업들의 데이터를 수집하였다. 가설검정 결과 크게 두 가지의 경로를 통해 정보공유를 통한 SCM성과 증대가 이루어짐을 알 수 있었다. 첫째, 구매협력기업들은 자산전용성을 증대시켜, 공급사슬 관계의 구매업체로부터 높은 신뢰도와 의존도를 살수가 있으며, 이를 통해 정보공유 수준을 증대시킬 수 있다. 둘째, 구매협력기업들은 정보공유에 대한 최고경영자의 태도가 긍정적·적극적일수록 구매기업과의 협업수준을 증대시킴과 동시에, 기업차원의 정보공유 중요도가 증대되는 것이다. 이렇게 증대된 협업수준과 정보공유 중요도는 결국 정보공유 수준에도 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것이다. 더욱이 위와 같이 두 가지 경로를 통해 증대된 구매협력기업과 구매업체간의 정보공유 수준은 궁극적으로 공급사슬전반의 효율성 즉, SCM성과향상에도 기여하게 되는 것이다. 본 연구결과의 학술적·실무적 공헌을 설명하고, 연구의 한계 및 추후연구를 제안하였다.
