We are going to provide information about electronic collaboration (e-collaboration) activities of researcher and scholars in an academic institution. This study investigates what features and factors are related with disciplinary research, and among them which factors are most rewarding in online academic collaboration. We present an academic research collaboration to enlighten potential factors of the success of such collaboration like: collaboration factors and collaboration model. We define e-collaboration in academic field consisting of two major factors: motivational factor (MoF) and mediating factor (MeF). We are going to analyze the effect of ecollaboration with the collaborators performance and satisfaction with the e-collaboration. We conducted the survey from the researcher and scholars. Using multiple regression, we illustrates the possible influences of these factors on research progress, research team functioning and benefits to academic collaborators. We found that both MoF and MeF plays important role for the success of e-collaboration.
