The purpose of this study is to analyze how the contents of 'music in daily life' among the domains of the contents in 2007 revised music curriculum, appear in elementary school music textbooks for the 5th grade and 6th grade, focusing learning activities of 'music in daily '. The results can be summarized as follows: Fist, the textbook section can be divided into the subject-centered section and the musical pieces-centered section according to the organization system. Second, the learning activities were showed an average of 17.63 times in the field of ‘music actualization’ of the textbooks. Third, ‘having attitude to enjoy music’ was presented most and ‘recognizing the value of Korean music’ was presented least among the learning activities of the field of ‘music in daily life’. Fourth, most of the textbooks have selected and presented similar contents, organizing system, and learning activities in ‘music in daily life’ domain. ‘music in daily life’ will be an opportunity for more active and progressive appearance of today’s school music education, if those are possible such as making research meeting for music actualization, sharing the information about the strength and weakness of the teaching methods and results, exploring the directions of better lessons, and constant improving the problems that happen in real education.

본고는 5-6학년 교과서에 반영된 생활화 영역 파악을 위해 2007년 개정 초등 음악과 교육과정에 근거하여 범주화하여 분석하고 이를 토대로 결과 및 그 시사점을 언급하였다. 각 교과서별 단원 구성 체제는 주제중심과 악곡 중심, 그리고 생활화 중심단원과 생활화와의 통합단원의 양상 속에서 생활화 요소는 평균 17.63번 제시되었고, 그 중 ‘음악을 즐기는 태도 갖기’의 횟수가 가장 많았고, ‘우리 음악의 가치 인식하기’가 가장 적었다. ‘학교 내외에서 발표 및 참여하기’와 ‘생활 속에서 음악활용하기’는 음악 문화 향유의 장을 제공하는 기회를 하는 긍정적 작용을 하는 요소이다. 생활화 각 요소들의 구분이 모호한 것은 정의적 영역에 기인한 것이지만 이를 교과서에 충분히 반영하려면 교육과정 상의 그 구분을 명확히 해야 하며, 각 요소들 간의 균형을 고려하여야 할 것이다. 각 교과서들에 제시된 생활화 중심 활동 대부분이 비슷한 방식을 갖고 있다. 이러한 관점에서 교과서 재구성을 위한 대안으로 교육과정 상의 지침을 효과적으로 담아낼 수 있는 장치가 필요하며, 학생의 흥미와 수업환경을 고려한 맞춤형 활동의 전개 및 음악적 요소에 근거한 사항만을 가르치는 것, 악곡 중심내용만으로 조직하는 획일성의 탈피가 용이해 질 것이다.
