In the 2000s Japanese Films, based on the life of Korean-Japanese, were continuously released. They are (2001), and (2005). Each film described the way of life of each generation on survival, resistance and breakaway. These films tell us the change of relationship of Korean-Japanese with the Japanese society and Japanese as the times change. But I think that the variation on the films converge on several points. These films make the best use of the Japanese cultural convention and knowledge with a familiar narrative structure such as home-drama or romantic comedy. And they exaggerate the image of violent Korean-Japanese. They also describe fantasy far from reality. The heroes or heroins of these films are Korean-Japanese. Nevertheless these films are Japanese films and play a role as the mirror reflecting Japanese themselves

2000年代に入って在日朝鮮人を素材にする日本映画が次々と公開された。＜GO＞〔2001)、＜血と骨＞〔2004)、＜バッチギ＞〔2005)などがそれである。この3作品では在日朝鮮人の第1世代、2世代、3世代と時代背景の異なる人物を中心に各々生存、抵抗、離脱などの生き方が描かれている。時代の変化によって日本社会や日本人との関わり方にも変化が生じたことをそれぞれ独特な人物と映画形式で語っている。しかしこのようなヴァリエーションはいくつかの点に収斂していると考えられる。それは日本人にお馴染のホームドラマやロマンチックㆍコメディなどのナラティブ構造を持っていて日本の文化的慣習や知識を多く活用していること、在日朝鮮人は暴力的だというイメージを誇張していること、現実から離れたファンタジーを描いていることなどである。在日朝鮮人を主人公にしたにもかかわらずこの3作品からは日本映画における歴史の流れ、伝統の痕跡が著しく見えてくる。これらの作品は日本人向けの日本映画であり日本人自分達の鏡として機能しているからだと考えられる。
