With the rapid development of international logistics, the role of international logistics zones has become increasingly important. From a logistics perspective, it provides several value-added activities in an integrated logistics system, e.g. consolidation, packaging, labeling, assembly, economic processing, contingency protection, and smoothness of operation. This study evaluated the importance of investment environment factors, namely, market, political, cost, infrastructure, and law factors, for firms’ intention to invest in international logistics zones. A multiple regression analysis was employed to analyze respondents’ investment intention to the international logistics zone in the Bohai bay region. Results indicated that market, cost, infrastructure, and law factors have a positive effect on firms’ intention to invest in international logistics zones. The influence of political factor on firms’ investment intention was not supported in this study. Theoretical and practical implications of the findings for firms’ foreign direct investment in international logistics zones are discussed.

중국 정부의 급속한 국제물류체계 개발과 함께 국제물류지역의 중요성이 증가되고 있다. 국제물류 관점에서 국제물류지역에서는 화물혼재, 포장, 조립, 보안, 생산관리 등과 같은 부가가치활동이 수행된다. 본 논문에서는 시장 요인, 정치적 요인, 비용 요인, 물류인프라 요인, 그리고 법적 요인과 같은 국제물류지역에 대한 투자환경의 중요도를 평가하고 시사점을 제시하고자 하였다. 측정도구의 신뢰성과 타당성을 확인하고 다중회귀분석을 수행하여 국제물류지역에 대한 기업의 투자 결정요인을 확인하고자 하였다. 분석결과에 따르면, 시장 요인, 비용 요인, 물류인프라 요인, 그리고 법적 요인이 투자 의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 정치적 요인은 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치지 못하였다. 이와 같은 연구결과를 바탕으로 국제물류지역 투자 결정요인에 대한 이론적 기여도와 실무적 시사점을 간략하게 논의하였다.
