In this study, Willingness To Pay(WTP) is estimated for Materials Bank Service using Contingent Valuation Method(CVM). Particularly, a two-staged CVM procedure is designed and proposed for the WTP estimation where a preliminary survey with an Open-Ended question(OE) is followed by a main survey with Double-Bounded Dichotomous Choice questions(DBDC). Through this two-staged CVM procedure, it is aimed to help a survey respondent in deciding his or her WTP within a spreaded range of WTP given by the DBDC. Meanwhile, the base starting points required by the DBDC-based main survey are provided by the OE-based preliminary survey. In terms of the mean and the median, results show a consistent WTP pattern that WTP’s of the DBDC-based main survey are smaller than WTP’s of the OE-based preliminary survey.

본 연구는 조건부가치측정법(Contingent Valuation Method, CVM)을 이용하여 소재정보은행 서비스에 대한 이용자의 지불의사금액(Willingness To Pay, WTP)을 추정한다. 특히 본 연구에서 설계·제안되는 2단계 CVM의 WTP 추정 절차 즉 개방형질문(open-ended question)에 의한 ‘예비설문조사’에 후속된 이중경계양분선택형질문(double-bounded dichotomous choice question)에 의한 ‘본설문조사’를 전개하여 설문응답자의 WTP 의사결정에 대한 직접적 지원과 함께 WTP 선택을 넓은 범위에 위치시키고자 유도한다. 자료분석 결과 개방형질문에 의한 예비설문조사의 WTP 대비 이중경계양분선택형질문에 의한 본설문조사의 WTP가 축소되는 일관된 경향이 확인되었다.
