The empirical results of the study can be summarized as follows: (1) the Hampyeong Butterfly Festival increased city outputs approximately by 12.5 billion Won, increased employment by 306 people, and increased total income of the province by 3.4 billion Won. (2) Economic impacts were mostly concentrated in service related industries, except several manufacturing industries that took small impacts.
