This study tried to analyze the relationship between export performance and Short-term Export Insurance & Export Credit Guarantee in the small and medium sized exportin companies which are using Korea Trade Insurance Corporation and Korea Credit Guarantee Fund. Short-term Export Insurance is an insurance category among various export insurance categories that exporting companies are utilizing the most. Export Credit Guarantee is a Credit Guarantee Commodity which is utilized the most by small and medium sized companies for the smoothness of export. The results of the analysis are, first, it turns out that, in the characteristics of export environment, the characteristics of both credit risk and export insurance are affecting the utilization of the Export Insurance. Second, Short-term Export Insurance and Export Credit Guarantee are affecting to the export performance. Third, it turns out that the relationship between characteristics of export companies' environment and export performance, for the export companies which are managing the credit risks systematically and recognizing the characteristics of export insurance and are satisfied with them, affects to the export performance.

본 연구는 한국무역보험공사와 신용보증기금을 이용하고 있는 우리나라의 중소수출기업을 대상으로 단기수출보험과 수출신용보증이 수출성과에 미치는 영향관계를 분석하고자 하였다. 단기수출보험은 한국무역보험공사의 여러 수출보험 종목 중 수출기업들이 수출위험 관리수단으로 가장 많이 활용하는 보험종목이고, 수출신용보증은 중소수출기업들이 수출증대를 위해 자금조달의 원활화를 위하여 많이 활용하는 신용보증 상품이다. 분석결과, 첫째, 수출환경특성에서는 신용위험 특성과 수출보험 특성이 수출보험 활용에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 단기수출보험과 수출신용보증은 수출성과에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 수출기업환경 특성과 수출성과 간의 영향관계는 신용위험 관리가 체계적인 기업과 수출보험 특성을 인식하고 만족하는 수출업체는 수출성과에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
