The purpose of this study was to consider importance of components & materials industry in Korean economy and to examine using enlargement plan of components and materials reliability insurance. For attaining the purpose of study, we checked position of components & materials industry in Korean economy and we realized those industry seriously affect development of Korean economy. Meanwhile, owing to nature of components & materials industry, those industry needs to take special supporting policies and therefore role of components & materials reliability insurance is being magnified as a supporting policy. From this study, we suggest some plan for improvement of components & materials reliability insurance as follows. ⅰ) A secure predictable ratio of defect for components & materials ⅱ) An expansion of insurance market through ease take out an insurance policy. ⅲ) A devise positive support policy for components & materials firms of insurance-run organization ⅳ) A prepare a joint investment through cooperation with private indemnity insurance corporation and reinsurer

본 연구의 목적은 한국 경제에서 부품 소재산업이 차지하는 위상을 검토하고, 한국경제 발전에 동산업 이미치는 영향을 인식하는데 있다. 또한 부품 소재산업의 발전을 위해서는 정책적 지원이 필수적인바, 동산업을지원하는 여러정책들 가운데 부품 소재 신뢰성 보험의 활용에 초점을 맞추고자 하였다. 본 연구를 통해 다음과 같은 방안들이 부품소재 신뢰성 보험의 활용 증대를 위해서 요구 되어지는 방안으로 제시할 수 있었다. ⅰ) 부품 소재 품목들에 대한 예상 가능한 결함률 자료 확보 및 축적ⅱ) 보험가입을 보다 더 용이하게 하여 부품 소재 신뢰성 보험의 시장 확대 ⅲ) 부품 소재 신뢰성 보험의 운영 기관을 통한 적극적인 보험 수요자가입 유도 및 홍보 ⅳ) 민간 손해보험사와의 협력을 통한 조속한 재보험 출재안 마련
