This study is aimed to confirm the effects of group sandplay activity, which has been practisiced at the early childhood education instituttion, on preschoolers’ emotion and the peer relationship development. 28 preschoolers, who are 5 years old, of the early childhood education institution in K city have been selected as the research objects and separated into the control group and the experiment group. The goup sand play activity has been offered to the experiment goup for 10 weeks, twice a week. The group sand play activities has been designed on the basis of the kindergarden curriculum revised in 2007. The total sand play activity is consisted of the early, the middle and the last part. The each session has the independent goal to be achieved and the detailed activities are suggested for it. We have intension to help the children who experience developmental and psychological difficulties through group sandplay activities which are designed for this study. From the result of this study, we can confirm the positive effects of the group sandplay activities to improve emotion and the peer relationship of preschoolers. Findings from this research are reviewed the educational value focused on social relationships within the kindergarden curriculum.

본 연구는 유아교육기관에서 유아를 대상으로 집단모래놀이 활동이 유아 의 정서와 또래관계 향상의 효과성을 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 K시에 위치한 유아 교육기관 만 5세 유아 28명이며, 실험집단과 통제집단으로 나뉘었다. 집단모래놀이 활동은 각 회 기는 주 2회 10주 동안 실험집단에게 실시되었다. 본 연구에서 구안한 모래놀이를 통한 심리상담(모래놀이)활동은 2007년 개 정 유치원교육과 정의 사회생활영역을 기초로 구성되었다. 모래놀이 활동구성은 초기, 중기 , 말기로 이루어 지며 각 회기별로 상담목표를 세워 실제 활동을 제시하였다. 본 연구의 목 적은 유아교육기 관 교사들이 일반 유아나 발달적․심리적 어려움이 있다고 예측되는 유아들 을 돕고자 본 프로그램을 유아교육현장에서 활용하도록 하기 위함이다. 본 연구는 유치원 교육과정의 사회생활영역을 보다 심도 있게 실천한 것이 므로 교육적 가치의 효과는 크다. 연구결과 집단모래놀이 활동은 유아의 정서와 또래관 계를 향상시키는 것으 로 나타났다.
