The purpose of this study is to verify how clinical art therapy affect visual perception development and hand's dexterity of children with cerebral palsy, and then provide basic data for clinical art therapy. The subjects of this study were selected from children hospitalized in C hospital in Seoul and A hospital in Gyeonggi-do and divided into an experimental group of 14 children and a comparative group of 10. For children in the experimental group, from July 20, 2009 to March 5, 2010, twice a week, a total of 16 clinical art therapy programs were given. As study tools, DTVP and Box & Block were used. Also, to find out the effect of intervention, the subjects took the FCC before and after receiving the art therapy program and their individual characteristics were analyzed. In conclusion, the clinical art therapy is found to have positive influence on visual perception development and hand's dexterity of children with cerebral palsy.

본 연구는 임상미술치료가 뇌성마비 아동의 시지각 발달과 손의 기민성에 미치는 영향에 대하여 검증하고, 임상미술치료의 효과에 대한 기초자료를 마련하고자 하였다.
연구의 대상자는 서울시에 소재한 S 병원, 경기도에 소재한 A 병원 소아재활병동에 입원한 뇌성마비 아동과 경기도에 소재한 A 병원에 입원한 뇌성마비 아동을 대상으로 실험집단 14명과 통제집단 10명을 연구 대상자로 구성하였다. 실험집단은 2009년 7월 20일부터 2010년 3월 5일까지 주 2회씩 총 16회기의 임상미술치료 프로그램을 실시하였다. 연구 도구로는 시지각 발달검사와 박스 앤 블록 검사를 사용하였으며, 개입의 효과를 알아보기 위해 임상미술치료 실시 전 ․ 실시 후 도형, 색 그리기 평가척도를 통해 차이를 비교하고, 그 과정에서의 개인별 특징을 분석하였다.
그 결과 임상미술치료 프로그램에 참여한 실험집단의 시지각과 손의 기민성은 유의미하게 증가하였다. 또한 실험집단의 임상미술치료 활동은 긍정적인 질적 변화가 나타났다.
이상의 연구 결과에서 임상미술치료는 뇌성마비 아동의 시지각 발달과 손의 기민성에 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
