This paper is intended to examine the current status of the station lunch through the station lunch of Hokkaido．Hokkaido is the region's third railway line were laid in Japan, hence the long history of Ekiben．Also considered to have a longer history than Utsunomiya Ekiben, Japan's first train lunch. In addition, in the overwhelmingly high percentage yield of domestic agricultural products and seafood, with a regionalbenefit that is also easy to acquire rare and far away from that. On the other hand, that the poor coordination of railway transportation, the weakness of price competitiveness, and Change the purpose of the railroad, appears significantly in the whole problems of Ekiben business.As for the sales volume of each JR station by Ekiben, Ekibenwas found to be relatively strong local station pre-order a lot of tourists. And the train lunch manufacturers, domestic and overseas sales performance in department stores, etc., was also observed that the food industry is spreading to a variety of sales channels.

本稿は、北海道の駅弁を通して、駅弁の現状を捉えることに目的をおく。北海道は、日本で3番目に早い時期 に鉄道 が敷設された地域であり、結果的に、駅弁の歴史も長い。最初とされる宇都宮の駅弁より長い歴史を持って いるとも考 えられる。また、国内の農畜産物や海産物の収穫量において圧倒的に高い割合を占める上に、地理的な距離 感から希少 価値も獲得しやすいという地域的メリットを持つ。その一方で、道内外の鉄道の連携利用が制限的であると いう交通面 での事情、価格競争力の弱さ、鉄道の利用目的や運営時間における変化、駅や社内という販売網をめぐる変 化等、駅弁 全体における販売状況の厳しさも顕著に表れている。特に、JR駅別の駅弁販売量からは、駅弁は観光客の多 い地域の駅 の予約販売が相対的に好調であることが分かった。そして、駅弁の調製元の事業運営が、駅や車内での駅弁 販売に止ま ることなく、国内外のデパート等における実演販売や、多様な飲食産業ㆍ販売ルートへと広がりつつあること も観察さ れた。
