For the study of many grammatical phenomena can be studied from the form, can also function studies, simply formalism research has focused on the psychological aspects of language, using the means of description and interpretation of the logical structure of language, emphasizing the commonality of language, functionalism studies focus on language, social and communicative function of language, attention to context, language use and function of the factors, attention to the description of language structure analysis. This study described the function of language is the language of Marxism as a form of communication, emphasizing the tools of language features, designed by language in social communication functions should be implemented to describe and explain the characteristics of the language on all levels. This paper describes the functionalist theory of grammar as well as in China's development research, pointed out the problems and shortcomings, suggests future research directions.

본 논문은 중국에서 功能主义（functionalist）어법이론 대한 연구현황, 및 발전 과정을 살펴봤다. 중국에서 功能主义 어법이론에 대한 연구는 대체로 1977년부터 시작했고 시작단계 발전단계 성숙단계라는 과정을 거쳐 발전 변화를 거듭해 왔다. 본 논문은 지금까지 중국에서 功能主义（functionalist）어법이론에 대한 연구를 정리해보았다. 이는 미래 功能主义（functionalist）어법이론의 연구에 있어 새로운 연구방향을 제시하고 지표를 찾기 위해 반드시 필요한 것이라고 생각된다. 이제 功能主义（functionalist）어법이론연구는 종전의 학자들이 연구한 기초 위에서 더욱 견고하고 견실하게 발전 나아갈 것이라 믿는다.
