This study presents the analysis results of the poetic characteristics of Woljeodoan's anthology in Joseon in the 17th century. Doan was the central figure in the establishment of Buddhist traditions, Sammun lectures, all sorts of Buddhist lectures and services, and publication of Buddhist priests' anthologies in the 17th century. He was good at reflecting his own ascetic exercise and view of Buddhism in his poems. The study focused on his poems in which his aspects as an ascetic of Sammun lectures were relatively well presented to figure out what he tried to mean in his works. His efforts were in line with his pursuit of Hwaeom's Zen transformation to the Wonseongshilseong's true nature that was Mujuchak and Wonyungmuae and the Jeongtoseon that acknowledged the existence of Land of Happiness along with Yushinjeongto. The investigator also compared and analyzed the characteristics of their development with their predecessors and successors. As a result, the characteristics of Zen poetry in the 17th century include Talseoneo, the narrative structure of Seoli trend, and the Zen transformation of Gyohak due to the rhetoric of figure of speech. Those findings helped to find the significance of Doan in the history of Zen poetry including the inheritance and development of the previous Zen poetry, service as the bridge in Zen and Zen poetry between the 17th century and the 18th and 19th century, and the presentation of flows for the Zen poetry of the 18th century.

본 논문은 조선조 17세기 月渚道安의 詩文集을 대상으로 그 시적 특징을 분석하였다. 도안은 17세기 法統體系의 확립과 三門修業, 각종 講會와 佛事, 승려들의 詩文集간행 등 그 중심에 있었던 한 인물이다. 도안은 자신의 수행과 佛敎觀을 시를 통해 잘 표출하였다. 본 논문은 이 가운데 三門修業의 수행자적 면모가 비교적 뚜렷이 드러나 있는 시들을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 그리하여 작품을 통해 드러내려는 자신의 뜻이 무엇인가를 알아보았다. 그것은 無住着으로 圓融無碍한 圓成實性의 眞如를 보여준 華嚴의 禪的 體化와 唯心淨土와 더불어 極樂世界의 실제를 인정한 淨土禪의 추구였다. 또한 그 전개양상의 특징을 살펴 전후시기와의 비교분석을 시도하였다. 그 결과 脫禪語, 說理傾向의 敍述構造, 比喩의 修辭法으로 인한 敎學의 禪的 體化 등이 17세기 선시의 한 특징임을 찾을 수 있었다. 이를 통해서 이전 시기 선시의 계승과 발전, 18․9세기로 이어지는 禪과 禪詩의 橋梁的 役割과 18세기 선시의 흐름을 제시한 그의 禪詩史的 意義를 도출해 내었다.
