The purpose of this study is to find out and generalize the effects of a career education Program on elementary school children´s career-development and learning attitude. The research questions to achieve the purpose are as follows.
First, how does the career education program affect elementary school children's career development? Second, how does the career education program affect elementary school children's learning attitude? To verify the research questions and hypotheses, the experiment group(34 students) and the control group(32 students) were selected from the fifth grade students of P elementary school in Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-province. The program provided 13 sessions for 10 weeks, one or two sessions per week, and 40 minutes in each session for the experiment group. The prior and post mean and standard deviation for the career development and learning attitude of the experiment group and the control group were calculated and t-test was performed, and then MANOVA was performed for the subcategories of the career development and learning attitude. The study results are as follows. First, the career education program for elementary school children had good influence on them. And the career ducation program for elementary school children had good influence on their learning attitude. The study results showed that the career education program had good influence on elementary school children's career development and learning attitude and the following results. First, the career education program has good influences on elementary school children's general career development and the subcategories.
The career education program makes students examine their aptitude, interest, and ability objectively, explore the job information, enhance their understanding ability of career plan for their future hope, and leads their career development. Second, the career education program has good influences on their learning attitude and the subcategories. The career education program leads to more satisfaction in relationships and changes their learning attitudes and the relationship with friends and teachers.

본 연구의 목적은 초등학생에게 진로교육 프로그램을 적용하였을 때, 초등학생의 진로발달과 학습태도에 미치는 영향을 규명하고 그 효과를 일반화하는 데 두고, 첫째 초등학교 진로교육 프로그램이 초등학생의 진로발달에 미치는 영향은 어떠한가, 둘째 초등학교 로교육 프로그램이 초등학생의 학습태도에 미치는 영향은 어떠한가라는 연구문제를 설정하였다. 연구대상은 경기도 남양주시 소재 P초등학교 5학년 학생을 대상으로 실험 집단(34명)과 비교 집단(32명)을 정하여 5학년의 진로발달 단계에 적합하도록 재구성한 진로교육 프로그램을 실험 집단에 총 10주 동안 주 1～2회, 회기당 40분씩 총 13회기 적용하였다. 또한 SPSSWIN 통계프로그램을 이용하여 실험 집단과 비교 집단의 진로발달과 학습태도에 대한 사전；사후 평균과 표준 편차를 산출하고 t검증을 실시하였으며 진로발달과 학습태도 하위영역에 대한 다변량 분산분석(MANOVA)을 실시하였다. 이 연구 결과 로교육 프로그램은 초등학생의 진로발달과 학습태도에 긍정적인 영향을 주었으며 다음과 같은 결론을 내릴 수 있었다. 첫째, 진로교육 프로그램은 초등학생의 전체적인 진로발달 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 주며 하위영역에도 긍정적인 영향을 미친다. 진로교육 프로그램은 학생들의 개개인의 적성, 흥미, 능력 등을 객관적으로 살펴보게 하고 거기에 맞는 업 정보를 탐색하여 장래 희망에 대한 진로계획 이해 능력을 높여 주어 초등학교 수준에서의 진로발달을 가져왔다. 둘째, 진로발달 프로그램은 학교 내에서의 전체 학습태도와 위영역에 긍정적인 영향을 준다. 진로교육 프로그램은 초등학생의 원만한 인간관계를 형성하는데 도움을 주며 학교 안에서의 공부를 대하는 태도나 교우, 교사와의 관계를 긍정적으로 바꾸는데 효과가 있다.
