The purpose of this study is to reveal the meaning of Ha Gok Jeong, Je-Doo's Yang-Jee(良知) concept, from the perspective of moral psychology. He is regarded as the highest scholar of the Wang Yang-ming(王陽明) school from history of the Korean Peninsula. By the way, one of the main issues on the modern moral psychology is the moral intuition. And Ha Gok's Yang-Jee concept has important implication about moral intuition. Ha-Gok's Yang-Jee concept is revealed distinctly in his discussion of the Lee(理) and Gee(氣), especially structure of the Lee. So firstly, the work is preceded that reveal the structure of the Lee. And this study clarified that Yang-Jee has feature of the moral intuition, in the structure of the third floor, Mool-Lee(物理), Saeng-Lee(生理), and Jean-Lee(眞理).
Secondly, this study mentioned minutely J. Haidt's moral intuition that is debated actively on current western moral psychology. J. Haidt's moral intuition criticize the existing moral psychology that evaluate the moral reasoning highly. Namely, he assert that the core of a moral action is not moral reasoning but moral intuition. J. Haidt's discussion received many attention, but he established the foundation on the empiricism of D. Hume and negative affection that is suggested by the brain science and neuroethics. This study pay attention that J. Haidt's moral intuition has biased view, and attempt to complement the limitation through Ha Gok Jeong, Je-Doo's Yang-Jee concept.

본 논문은 한반도의 역사에서 가장 뛰어난 양명학자로 평가되는 하곡 정제두의 양지 개념의 특징을 분석하고, 이 개념이 현재 도덕 심리학에서 논의되는 도덕적 직관에 대하여 어떠한 의의를 지니는지 밝히는 것을 목적으로 한다. 하곡의 양지 개념은 그의 이기론 중 특히 리의 구조 안에서 그 특징이 뚜렷하게 드러나기에, 우선 하곡의 리의 구조를 탐색하는 작업을 선행하였다. 그리고 물리(物理)와 생리(生理), 진리(眞理)라는 삼층의 구조 안에서 양지는 일종의 도덕적 직관의 능력을 지니는 것임을 밝혔다.
이어서 현재 서양 도덕 심리학에서 활발히 논의되는 하이트(J. Haidt)의 도덕적 직관을 상세하게 밝혔다. 그가 말하는 도덕적 직관은 기존의 추론 중심의 도덕 심리학을 비판하는 입장으로서, 도덕적 행동을 위한 중추적 기제는 추론이 아닌 도덕적 직관임을 제시한 것이다. 하이트의 논의는 현재 상당히 주목 받고 있으나, 흄(D. Hume)의 경험론과 뇌과학․신경 윤리학에서 제시하는 부정적 정서에 그 기반을 두고 있다. 본고에서는 이와 같은 하이트의 도덕적 직관 개념이 다소 편향된 시각을 지니고 있다는 점에 착안하여, 이를 하곡 정제두의 양지라는 개념을 통해서 보완하고자 하였다.
