This study is to the evaluation of efficacy on oral cavity cleaner, Dental CleanerTM through the examination of sterilizing power on anaerobic plaque formational bacteria and bacteria lead to carious tooth, the evaluation of effects of inhibition and removal of dental calculus after gargle, and the identification of bacteria from exhausted solution after gargle.
In result of sterilizing power on Streptococcus gordonii, the sterilizing power was showed 85.1% after 30 ± 3 sec, and 99.9% after 60 ± 5 sec. In the case of Streptococcus sobrinus, the sterilizing power was showed 88.8% after 30 ± 3 sec, and 99.9% after 60 ± 5 sec. The effect of inhibition is 1.75 and the removal effect of dental calculus is 2.47 after gargle. this result was showed that the removal effect is more larger than the inhibition effect. Also, in our identification of bacteria from exhausted solution after gargle, we confirmed two kinds of anaerobic bacteria, Bifidobacterium inopinatum and Scardovia wiggsiae. In the case of aerobic bacteria, we found 7 species, Neisseria meningitidis, Rothia mucilaginosa, Rothia dentocariosa, Streptococcus mitis, Septococcus oralis, Streptococcus australis and Parascardovia denticolens.

본 실험은 구강 내 혐기성 프라그 형성과 충치유발세균에 대한 살균력 실험, 치태형성 억제효과와 치태 제거효과 평가, 가글 후 배출액 내에 포함되어 있는 세균 동정을 통하여 구강청결제 덴탈크리어의 효능을 평가하는데 있다.
Streptococcus gordonii에 대한 살균실험을 한 결과 초기접종균수가 2.9×105 CFU/ml에서 30±3초 후 4.3×104CFU/ml (85.1%) 살균력을 보였으며 1분±5초 후에는 <10 CFU/ml으로 99.9% 살균력을 보였다. Streptococcus sobrinus에 대한 살균실험을 한 결과 초기접종균수가 9.8×104 CFU/ml에서 30±3초 후 1.1×104 CFU/ml (88.8%) 살균력을 보였으며 1분±5초 후에는 <10 CFU/ml으로 99.9% 살균력을 보였다. 피실험자 8명의 치아면 개수는 혀쪽과 볼쪽을 모두 합하여 총 448개였다. 실험결과 억제 효과는 1.75개(56면/총 448 치아면, 12.25%), 치태제거 효과는 평균 2.47개(79면/총 448 치아면, 17.63%)로 치태억제 효과보다 치태를 제거하는 효과가 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 또한 덴탈크리어로 가글한 후 배출되는 균은 혐기성 세균 Bifidobacterium inopinatum, Scardovia wiggsiae 2종, 호기성 세균의 경우 Neisseria meningitidis, Rothia mucilaginosa, Rothia dentocariosa, Streptococcus mitis, Septococcus oralis, Streptococcus australis, Parascardovia denticolens 7종이 확인되었다.
