The purpose of this study is to analyze the regional economic impact of urban regeneration programme at county level scale by developing inter-regional and inter-industrial production coefficient model. Specifically, this study focuses on 8 industries as urban regeneration-related industrial sectors. By utilizing inter-industry and inter-regional input-output coefficient data, employment data and geographical distance data, this study estimates the county level production coefficient and calculates the impact multipliers of urban regeneration programme. The results of this study suggest that geographical patterns of economic impacts vary with the specific industrial sectors and small-medium sized cities located in rural area could be good candidates for urban regeneration programme in terms of nation-wide economic benefits.

본 연구의 목적은 지역간 산업간 생산유발계수 결정 모형을 개발하여 도시재생사업의 지역경제 파급효과를 기초자치단체의 수준에서 분석하는데 있다. 본 연구에서는 도시 및 지역재생사업과 관련된 산업으로 도소매업, 음식점 및 숙박업, 운수업, 통신 및 방송업, 금융 및 보험업, 부동산 및 사업서비스업, 교육 및 보건업 그리고 사회 및 기타서비스업의 총 8개 산업군을 선정하여 이 산업들에 대한 생산유발계수 결정모형을 추정하였다. 지역간 산업간 생산유발계수 모형은 유출 및 유입지역의 경제적 특성(종사자수 및 고용밀도)과 지역간 마찰(거리) 정도를 고려하여 추정되었으며 이를 기초자치단체에 적용함으로서 세부 공간 단위 개발의 지역경제효과를 산정하였다. 그 결과 산업별로 파급효과의 양상은 다르게 나타나며, 이에 따라 지방중소도시에 대한 재생사업도 경제적 타당성이 있음을 알 수 있었다.
