Now Korea is being implemented multi-ethnic and multi-cultural society. For the reason, each field in front of these social changes are working out the various measures. Korea education has also developed and spread a variety of programs for multi-cultural society and the stability of multi-cultural education. However, you can't deny reality that you are using terms related to multi-cultural society as rule-of-thumb way without unification. In awareness of these issues, this paper is to present inter-cultural education as the best multi-cultural society education model in Korea. I think that we make the desperate effort dig education resources in the environment around students, while we are interested in alternative in order to experience real life for inter-cultural education. Implications for museum education that recently begins to emerge as a new subject at the school of education is that museum exhibits and education made up of a variety of cultural products in many countries around the world are opening up possibilities to using as the core medium of inter-cultural education. Therefore, this paper is to present the direction of museum education for desirable inter-cultural education by analyzing the inter-cultural education programs through museum exhibits and programs that can enrich inter-cultural education the most.

이제 우리나라는 ‘다민족 ․다문화사회’로 이행되고 있다. 때문에 각 분야마다 이러한 사회적 변화앞에 여러 가지 대책을 내세우고 있다. 한국 교육역시 다문화사회를 위한 다문화교육의 안정을 위한 다양한 프로그램을 개발하여 보급하고 있으며, 도덕과 교육에서도 다문화사회의 변화에 대응한 교육적 대안을 제시해야 할 것이다. 하지만 다문화사회와 연관한 용어가 통일되지 않은 채 주먹구구식으로 사용되고 있음을 부정할 수 없는 현실이다. 이러한 문제의식에서 본 논문은 우리사회에 가장 적합한 다문화사회교육의 모형으로서 상호문화교육을 제시하고자 한다. 상호문화교육을 위해 실생활 속에서 경험할 수 있는 대안 마련에 관심을 가지고 교육 자원을 학생 주변의 환경 속에서 발굴하려는 노력이 절실하다고 생각된다. 최근에 교육학 연구의 새로운 주제로 부각되기 시작한 박물관 교육이 주는 시사점은, 세계 여러
나라의 다양한 문화적 산물들로 이루어진 박물관 전시와 교육은 상호문화교육의 핵심 매체로 활용할 수 있는 가능성을 열어 주고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 상호문화교육을 가장 풍요롭게 할 수 있는 박물관전시와 교육 프로그램를 통한 상호문화교육 프로그램을 분석하여 바람직한 상호문화교육을 위한 박물관교육의 방향을 제시하고자 한다.
