The purpose of this study is to find theological meaning and spiritual evidence and phenomenon from the form of diakonia of German Protestant church in order to discover a lesson, which should be noted by diakonia of Korean church. For this, concept of diakonia and spirituality, prehistory based on diakonia of German Protestant Church, history and spirituality of German Protestant Church diakonia, and current status of social welfare facilities of German Protestant church was examined. As the main conclusion of this study, the importance of adopting Johann Hinrich's spiritual practice as a basis of christian social welfare of Korea could be pointed out. His spirituality was a spirituality centered on God's kingdom and Jesus Christ's Love. This spirituality was expressed as acting faith and love in a concrete way. There's a need for an accomplishment of the concept of active and concrete love and faith in every practice field of our social service and social welfare. Because social welfare of Korea's Protestant church is mostly managed as a local selfgoverned organization or consigned facility of central government there are many cases where it cannot be run with a purpose of mission within the legal regulations. Therefore, fellow christian social welfare workers should be educated with diakonia theology and the concept of social mission, and diakonia studies(christian social service studies) should be introduced compulsorily in M. Div. of theology universities.

본 논문의 목적은 앞선 독일 개신교회의 디아코니의 모습과 그 속에 담겨 있는 신학적 의미와 영성적 근거 및 현상을 찾아봄으로써, 한국교회의 디아코니가 참고해야 할 교훈을 발견하고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위해 디아코니와 영성의 개념, 독일 개신교회 디아코니의 기초로서의 전역사(prehistory), 독일 개신교회 디아코니 역사와 영성, 독일 개신교회의 사회복지 시설 현황 등을 살펴보았다. 본 연구의 주요 결론으로서, 한국의 기독교사회복지는 요한 힌리히 뷔헤른(Johann Hinrich Wichern)의 영성을 실천의 기준으로 삼는 것이 중요함을 지적할 수 있다. 그의 영성은 하나님의 나라를 중심으로 한 영성이며, 예수 그
리스도의 사랑을 중심으로 한 영성이다. 이 영성은 구체적으로 행동하는 믿음과 사랑으로 표현되었다. 이런 구체적 행동적 사랑과 믿음의 개념이 우리들의 사회봉사와 사회복지의 모든 실천영역 안에서도 성취되는 것이 필요하다. 왜냐하면 우리나라 개신교회의 사회복지도 이제는 지방자치단체나 중앙정부의
위탁시설로 운영되는 경우가 많기 때문에, 법적 규제 안에서 선교를 궁극적인 목적으로 운영하지 못하는 경우가 허다하기 때문이다. 그러므로 기독교사회복지 동역자들에게 디아코니신학과 사회선교적 개념의 이해가 교육되어야 할 것이고, 신학대학교에서의 목회자양육과정(M. Div.)에서도 디아코니학(기독
교사회봉사학)이 필수적으로 도입되어야 할 것이다.
