The purpose of this study was to examine the ethical values and ethical behavior of the preservice music therapists, who were training at school setting for music therapist.
The subjects in this study were 32 preservice music therapists(17 music therapy major students at university, 15 certification program trainees at University Lifelong Education Center). The ethical values of preservice music therapists were assessed by Ethics Perception Questionnaire(EPQ) and how they behaved were evaluated by presenting a mock case based on the Code of ethics of Korean Music Therapy Association for ethical behaviors. As a result, in the ethical values, there weren’t the significant differences according to the general characteristics, that is age, gender, experience of receiving ethical education, and degree of the Code of ethics’ recognition. The most of subjects showed high altogether the tendency of idealism and relativism. As a result of the ethical behavior, in the choice of primarily be considered, there were the significant difference according to the experience of receiving ethical education and the degree of the Code of ethics’ recognition(p< .05). Also, in the choice of solutions, there were the significant difference according to the degree of the Code of ethics’ recognition(p< .05).

이 연구는 학교 환경에서 음악치료사가 되기 위해 훈련 중인 예비 음악치료사들이 가지고 있는 윤리적 가치관과 윤리적 행동에 대해 알아보기 위한 목적으로 실시되었다. 연구의 대상은 J시에 위치한 대학교에서 음악치료를 전공하고 있는 대학생 17명과 S시와 D시에 위치한 대학교의 평생교육원에서 음악치료사 자격과정을 이수하고 있는 수강생 15명이었다.
윤리적 개념척도(EPQ)를 이용하여 연구대상자들이 가지고 있는 윤리적 가치관을 알아보고, 모의사례를 통해 그들의 윤리적 행동을 알아보았다. 연구결과, 윤리적 가치관에 있어서, 일반적 특성에 따라 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았는데, 응답자의 상당수가 이상주의적 경향과 상대주의적 경향이 모두 높게 나타났다. 윤리적 행동에 있어서는, 각각의 사례별로 주요 고려대상을 묻는 질문에 대해 윤리관련과목 수강경험 유무와 음악치료 윤리규정 인지정도에 따라 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다(p< .05). 또한, 해결방법에 있어서 음악치료 윤리규정 인지정도에 따라 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다(p< .05).
