An, Duk-Ho. 2011. A Note on Wilder's (2008) Multiple Dominance Analysis of the Right Node Raising Construction. Korean Journal of Linguistics, 36-2, 439-455. The Right Node Raising construction has received much attention in the recent literature. In particular, much of the debate revolved around the issues of linearization and derivation of the construction in question, for which several proposals have been made. In this paper, I am mainly concerned with evaluating a particular theory of linearization and derivation of the Right Node Raising construction proposed by Wilder (2008), which is characterized by its adoption of a modified LCA system for linearization and the multiple dominance system for derivation of the Right Node Raising construction. I show that although Wilder's ingenious theory has nice consequences, it also faces several problems and thus cannot be maintained without further elaboration. (Konkuk University)
