The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of home related dramatic activities based on storybook on young children's creativity and drawing representation ability. The subjects used in this study were fifty 5 year-old children who attended a kindergarten in Gyeonggi-do. The mean age of the subjects was 71.08 months. The experimental group participated in the home related dramatic activities based on storybook while the comparative group participated in the related activities after listening to storybooks. 'The Figural Area of Torrance Test of Creative Thinking( Torrance, 1990)' and 'Drawing Representation Inventory(Chi, 2001)' were used in collection of data. It also used t-test to analyze the data. It was revealed that there were significant differences between the experimental group and comparative group in the post-test scores. The scores of the experimental group in the young children's creativity and drawing representation ability were significantly higher than the scores of the comparative group. In conclusion, the results of this study suggest that home related dramatic activities based on storybooks are effective in promoting young children's creativity and drawing representation ability.

본 연구의 목적은 가정과 연계한 동화 극화활동이 유아의 창의성과 그리기 표상능력에 미 치는 효과를 검증하는데 있다. 연구대상은 5세 유아 50명이며, 평균 월령은 71.08개월이었 다. 실험집단에서는 가정과 연계한 동화 극화활동을 실시하였으며, 비교집단에서는 유아들이 동화를 들은 후 관련 확장활동을 실시하였다. 유아의 창의성은 Torrance(1990)의 ‘창의적 사고력 검사도구(Torrance Test of Creative Thinking)중 도형 창의성 검사’를 사용하여 측정하였고, 그리기 표상능력은 지성애(2001)의 ‘그리기 표상능력 검사도구’를 사용하여 측 정하였다. 수집된 연구 자료는 t-검증을 통해 집단 간 차이를 분석하였다. 연구결과 실험집 단이 비교집단보다 창의성 및 그리기 표상능력 점수가 높게 나타나, 가정과 연계한 동화 극 화활동이 유아의 창의성과 그리기 표상능력 증진에 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다.
