In the history Korean animation, 's relative importance is really amazing. The reason why the animation is still popularly loved is not only it is martial arts robot but also it reflects unique characters. There are female characters who are leading the story through which we can see the ideal women at the time. On this thesis, it is believed that by reviewing the 70's and the female characters in the feature films we can understand how female characters were expressed in at the time. Also, efforts were made how the fenale characters of imported animation feature films at the time affected to Young-Hee and Mary. Conclusively, it is understandable that the characters like Young-Hee and Mary which reflected the appearance of that era created the consensus of audiences, and it made the successful elements extending the life to the animation itself.

한국애니메이션역사 안에서 <로보트 태권V>가 차지하는 비중은 가히 놀랍다고 할 것이다. 1970년대 작품인 <로보트 태권V>가 사랑받는 이유는 단지 태권도를 하 는 로봇만이 아니라 독특한 캐릭터들에서 찾아 볼 수 있다. 거기에는 스토리를 주 도적으로 이끄는 최초의 여성 캐릭터들이 있으며 그 캐릭터들에는 당시의 사회가 원하는 이상적 여성상이 반영된 것을 알 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 1970년대 한국 시대상과 영화계, 당시 한국 영화 속의 여성상을 확인해 봄으로서 애니메이션 <로보트 태권V> 안에서 어떠한 여성 캐릭터로 표현 되었는지 확인해 보았다. 또한 당시 개봉된 외국 애니메이션들 속의 여성 캐릭터들 이 영희와 메리에게 어떠한 영향을 끼쳤는지를 알아보았다. 결과적으로 영희와 메리와 같이 동 시대상을 반영하고 미래 지향적인 캐릭터가 관객과 유대감을 형성하게 되고 흥행에 밑거름이 되어 애니메이션 자체의 생명력 을 연장시킬 수 있는 요소가 된다는 것을 알 수 있었다.
