A Study on Boundary and Deconstruction in the History of Diaspora Literature of Korean in Japan - Focused on works from Hyeon-wol and Kaneshiro Kazuki -
The history of diaspora literature of Korean in Japan continues in the third generation’ s works, which changes from the history of migration to the one of settlement. Now, ethnic narration, aiming identity, does diverse formal experiments along with narratively seeking how to form their lives in that area. These changes in the history of literature are not only a generation gap, but premise of focusing on changes and migration is required. It is related to globalization in the real world, and world order, nation order(Japan, South Korea/ North Korea), and local order overlap one another. Thus, the narration of Korean diaspora literature in Japan is never unified. Recent literary experiments done by the third generation writers are closely related to the matter of subject moving in diaspora, and show diverse layers which is not unified. However, it is clear that they are trγing to escape from the forms of ethnic narration or change them. Especially, Hyeon-wol narrates Korean residents village in Japan as the effect of rumor and ritual space, and Kaneshiro Kazuki chooses ‘cheerfulness’ as subversion mechanism, representing character of Korean Diaspora in J apan.
